Scrambles

Few experiences in life can compare with the feeling one is consumed with standing on the summit of a major peak. Scrambles are non-technical routes to reach these inspiring places. What does this mean? Scrambling fits in somewhere between climbing or mountaineering and hiking. Routes range in difficulty from steep strenuous off trail hikes to climbs requiring frequent use of hand and foot holds. Scrambles can be extremely dangerous because unlike climbing you typically free climb or scramble to a summit up cliff bands and across ledges without the protection of a rope.
